⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Daring, different and captivating
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Brilliant psychological drama
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A gothic feast
Writing team Ceri Williams and Drew Neary meticulously researched this beautiful tale, with its seeping creepiness and macarbre murder. Ceri says Scotland was a natural setting with its land steeped with myth and mystery that dates back to the time of the Romans and beyond.
The third member of the team is a visual artist based in the Netherlands. Priscila Rodriguez Aranda who designed the front cover.
The five star reviews for this novel tell you that this is a deliciously rich gruesome read. A perfect Halloween treat!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A dark, compelling read
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A clever, creepy story
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Captivating
Pictured here are author Mandrake and his proud parents Cressida Potts and Pluto Pan. Born in a Cabbage Barrow at Christmas in 1855, he was their pride and joy.
Renowned musical artistes Potts and Pan tried to encourage Mandrake to follow in their footsteps but he decided instead to train as a toffee taster at Nanny's Naughty Treats. From there he moved on to the publishing world, becoming an Ink Runner and then a Pencil Sharpener before finally getting a break with Tinky Wilson, The Fortune Teller's Favourite, as a Cub Reporter.
This was to prove a turning point and Mandrake took the plunge with his own periodical of the paranormal, The Eldritch Monthly.
And so started his tracking of the activities of supernaturalist Wilfred Woolfitt... now novels that will make you shake with horrifying laughter.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The funniest book I've read in a long time
Room 119: The Whitby Trader is T. F. Lince's debut novel and has a fantastic rating on Amazon with the twists and turns of the story and well crafted chracters being particularly noted.
But perhaps the most powerful aspect is the book's deeply rewarding morality tale - something that made Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol a huge success - and through that the ability to touch people's lives.
Lince's second book Funicular received equally high praise - Halloween in Room 119? Definitely - but you may find it hard to get out...
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The plot that twists and then turns
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It's a journey of the mind and heart!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Couldn't put it down, a must read
Daniel Jones' experience and interests are a good clue to the adventurous and thrillingly plotted creature-feature story he has woven for his debut novel. As a child of a military family he has travelled around the globe - including Japan, New Mexico and Germany - and he's a huge fan of the natural world - so expect incredible monsters, awe-inspiring locations and heroic action.
The reviews, like the cover of this fantastically presented novel, are astonishingly good with an almost complete 5 star sweep.
